Meet Karena

Dyslexia Therapist - Educator - Advocate 

Karena Hayes is a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) and a certified special education teacher with a Masters in Special Education. She is dedicated to empowering every student through personalized learning approaches. By tailoring research-proven strategies, she is able to meet the needs of every learner. Karena believes that every student has the potential to succeed and she is committed to them unlock their abilities and achieve their academic goals.

Karena brings extensive experience working in residential treatment programs, foster care placement agencies, and behavioral school settings. This background informs a trauma-responsive, strengths-based approach to dyslexia and literacy intervention that honors the whole learner.
